Sweater: Target
Leggings: ModCloth
Sandals: Nike
Necklace: Falling Whistles
Watch: maurices
These leggings are the best. Completely hard to wear thanks to the crazy pattern, but super comfy and quirky! Its good to have some pieces that remind you not to take yourself too seriously. What are your fancy pants?
Top: Loft
Shorts: thrifted jeans, cut into shorts
Belt: vintage
Tights: Express
Flats: Payless
I think fall is officially here! I love feeling the crisp, cool breeze on my way to class and sipping pumpkin flavored drinks in my cozy apartment. Fall makes me a little nostalgic, maybe because it's so fleeting, or because it signifies change. I kind of like that sad feeling of nostalgia though. Does anyone else feel that way? I always listen to folk music, like Sufjan Stevens and Iron & Wine during the fall. Something about their earthy, midwestern feel reminds me of where I come from, and that's comforting.
P.S. I'm wearing polka dots again.
Chambray: maurices
Sweater: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's
Belt: vintage
Shorts: Old Navy
Sneakers: Coach (gift)
Necklace: Tiffany & Co
I love the colors and textures and prints in this outfit, but I wish there was a better way to layer button ups and sweaters. The bulky-ness of two shirts seem to add weight right where I don't want it. I guess my solution was to add a belt, but I don't think that did a whole lot. Ya'll feel me? Oh well, here's to partially popped collars and punchy prints on a Monday.
Blouse: maurices
Shorts: GAP
Sneakers: Coach (gift)
Belt: Vintage (my mom's)
Sunglasses: Claires
Necklace: Tiffany & Co
Even though these sneakers gave me a blister today, I still love them. I mean, anything with leopard print is automatically a favorite in my book. The only thing I hate is how white they are. I am SO hard on my shoes - they're already pretty dirty from walking around all day.
Also, can we take a moment to discuss how comfy these shorts from Gap are? I know, its the middle of September and I'm still refusing to get on the pants train. Oh well, I'll take the hot weather any day - Indiana winter makes me sad!

I'm a little late jumping on the peplum trend, but I must say, I love it! (I bought three peplum tops in the past few weeks...) I felt super feminine with the bow detail and giant flower in my hair, plus the fabric of the top is a perfect thickness for transitioning into fall weather. Fall weather is my favorite. Layering, chunky sweaters, boots, oranges & browns - mmm! Just thinking about it makes me want to curl up with a cup of hot tea and crack a book.
Cardigan: Target
Tank: maurices
Skirt: GAP
Sandals & Necklace: maurices
Bracelets: Aldo
My mom bought this skirt for me over Labor Day weekend at the GAP outlet store by our lake cottage. I had to wear it right away, not only because its adorable, but because it was new! I paired it with casual accessories so I didn't feel too stuffy for class.
I recently landed a dream internship for this fall, working as a social media intern for a local beauty school. I am excited to learn from this job - it's been a challenge so far! I run the company twitter, facebook, pinterest, instagram, and I will be creating a blog as well. Feel free to follow along on our journey!

Shorts: Free People
Sandals: Finish Line
Bracelets: Gifts
I never thought I would own anything neon, but when I saw these shorts on sale at Free People, I was instantly attracted. I'm torn with how I feel about them - they're comfortable and slouchy, but the stitching started coming apart near the cuff and on the backside after my first wear. Thats my problem with ordering clothes online - the fabric can read completely different in a photo than in person. So, its nice to have a trendy neon statement piece in my wardrobe, but since they are not very sturdy, I would have been happier with a cheaper price. Oh well, c'est la vie!
On a different note (no pun intended), I've been listening to Incubus' album If Not Now, When? on repeat since I saw them in concert a few weeks ago. It was an incredible experience. I would highly recommend seeing them live if you have the chance. This is one of my favorite songs from their newest album. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
