Shirt: Forever 21
Jacket: GAP via Goodwill
Skirt & Booties: maurices
Socks: Shop in Durango, CO
Scarf: Macy's
Sunglasses: Urban Outfitters

My modern interpretation of a classic western style.  I love how each piece plays off of the other in this look.  Knot in the skirt, knotted scarf.  Tortoise shell sunglasses, red shirt.  Denim jacket, fringed boots. The only downside was that the boots gave me blisters after wearing them around campus all day.  But hey, that won't stop me from wearing them again!

Kiss The Girl

Sweater: Lauren Conrad for Kohls
Dress: H&M
Tights: local convenience store, Spain
Boot Socks: Kohls
Boots: Stein Mart
Scarf: Macy's
Earrings: Gap
Headband: Walgreens

I don't think I've ever done this before.  I don't know why.  It's so simple - a sweater over a dress! Perfect layers.  I've also never really mixed prints before.  The two are similar - polka dots and round lips - so I figured I would go for it.  Since starting this blog I've really branched out in regard to my outfits and I've tried combos I never would have thought of before.  I love all the possibilities I've made for myself!

This look is super comfy.  I have a real problem feeling trapped in a pair of jeans (I must admit, I love sweatpants), so I jump at any chance I have to NOT wear them.  Tights are perfect for in-between weather and they perfectly hide my pale legs!

Unusual Pairs

Long Sleeved T-Shirt: Forever 21
Jacket: American Eagle
Jeans: Lucky Brand
Boots: Stein Mart
Scarf: Macy's
Headband: Stein Mart
Sunglasses: Ray Ban, "Clubmaster"
Earrings: Free People
Necklace: Tiffany & Co

I love neutrals - I could dress in all shades of brown every day and never get sick of it. I also love unusual pairs.  I enjoy finding creative ways to combine two elements that shouldn't go together, like black & brown and silver & gold.

Speaking of unusual pairs, there is a new shop in the Village at BSU called "Cardinal Cupcakes and Coneys".  Nick and I tried to eat there today, but there was a sign on the door - they had closed because they ran out of cupcakes!  Guess we'll have to try again another time.
