This outfit make me feel quite ladylike. The color palette is feminine and the heels are nice and petite compared to the wedges I normally wear. The skirt is made just right. The pleats are there to give you volume, and the thick band does it's job of cinching you in to create a nice waistline. I can't believe I found it for so cheap!

Also, this skirt is the only purple item I have in my closet. Isn't that strange?

I declare this as my first intentional monochromatic look! I'm kind of surprised at how well the floral patterns mesh, especially because I hardly spent any time at all putting this outfit together this morning. Some things are meant to be, I suppose. 

I've only truly embraced wearing whatever I want without fear of judgement within these past couple months. Perhaps stemming from a mixture of newfound maturity and confidence, (and a lack of time to plan) the thought "will someone think this is too much?" never really crosses my mind. I like that. It's way less pressure on myself, and I think it allows for more creativity. Clothing is one of my favorite self-expressions, and I think I'm finally figuring out how to do that in the right way for who I am.

I highly recommend immediately getting in your car, driving to Target, and buying every single one of these skirts...seriously, I love it! The chevron print is cute, the panels hug your curves, and the built-in shaper keeps everything in check. Plus, it's totally stretchy. Stretchy is the equivalent of sweatpants, and feeling like Nacho Libre all day long.

(I bought three peplum tops in the past few weeks...) I felt super feminine with the bow detail and giant flower in my hair, plus the fabric of the top is a perfect thickness for transitioning into fall weather.  Fall weather is my favorite.  Layering, chunky sweaters, boots, oranges & browns - mmm! Just thinking about it makes me want to curl up with a cup of hot tea and crack a book.

Bracelets: GAP (metal), maurices (wooden) Earrings: Vera Wang for Kohl's Sunglasses: Rayban "Clubmaster" Hello, all!  Classes have started back up again for me, so I'm getting into the swing of my new schedule, homework and all.  I'm truly immersed in my major (Interpersonal Communication) this semester and I am LOVING my classes!  Even though they're heavily laden with reading, the actual work we do in the classroom setting is fun, interesting, and valuable.  Thats what I love most about my major - everything I'm learning is so applicable.  I'll be able to carry my set of tools with me not only throughout my career, but also my life.  Talk about preparation for the real world!  I think my favorite class I'm taking right now is a course on Conflict Management.  I'm also involved in an Immersive Learning project with the Delaware County community, and I have an interview set up for this upcoming Monday for a potential internship!  I would get to manage this company's social media, a blog (how perfect!), and get free manis and pedis!  Keep your fingers crossed for me - I would love to have this opportunity!  As for my outfit, nothing is better than a lightweight denim shirt and a pop of color.  I love how the blue and pink work together without looking childish and that I was able to mix and match fun prints in my shirt and my sandals.  The snakeskin works perfectly for hiding any lumpy imperfections, and the shorts are a higher rise, which also covers up tummy problems!

My Mom and I had a fantastic time taking these photos around Fort Wayne earlier today!  I love being able to share my passion with her and knowing I always have her support.  She is truly an incredible woman and I am proud to share her with all of you.

I love the soft, breezy feel of this hi/lo dress.  The cut is SO on trend right now, + the knit fabric makes for a perfect blend of casual elegance.

It feels like forever since I've last blogged, but life and school have been crazy this past week!  I'm almost done with all my projects and papers for my JUNIOR year of college.  I can't believe how fast the time has flown, and the ending of this school year is a little bittersweet.  The good news is, though, that I have big plans for this summer!  I can't wait for what's coming!

How fabulous are these shoes?  I LOVE them!  Even though I didn't wear them all day around campus, I couldn't wait to put them on for these pictures! (I wore these sandals instead.)  Also, I couldn't resist pairing them with these adorable floral socks I picked up when I was in Durango.

I have a few fun events planned for this weekend and I can't wait to get them started.  TGIF, even if it is the 13th!
