These pants were an incredible buy. I found them at Kohl's, buried deep in the overstuffed sale racks, for $5.40. They were $54.00 originally. That's a 90% savings!! Can you believe it? At that price, even if they didn't fit I would still buy them. Plus, I can wear them with a bunch of different colors, and use them for work or play. I think they're magic.

Man, I look tired in these photos. Probably because I am. I had one of those days when I got home from work and when I looked in the mirror, I was like, WHOA...have I looked like this all day?

Anyway, it was nice to wrap up in a comfy cozy cardi earlier while I was at work. Ugly olive drab is one of my favorite colors and I like how it pairs with the navy and peach tones in this ensemble.

Long Live Summer

Also, can we take a moment to discuss how comfy these shorts from Gap are?  I know, its the middle of September and I'm still refusing to get on the pants train.  Oh well, I'll take the hot weather any day - Indiana winter makes me sad!

Fluorescent Adolescent

Cardigan: Express Tank: maurices Shorts: Free People Sandals: Finish Line Bracelets: Gifts I never thought I would own anything neon, but when I saw these shorts on sale at Free People, I was instantly attracted.  I'm torn with how I feel about them -  they're comfortable and slouchy, but the stitching started coming apart near the cuff and on the backside after my first wear.  Thats my problem with ordering clothes online - the fabric can read completely different in a photo than in person.  So, its nice to have a trendy neon statement piece in my wardrobe, but since they are not very sturdy, I would have been happier with a cheaper price.  Oh well, c'est la vie! On a different note (no pun intended), I've been listening to Incubus' album If Not Now, When? on repeat since I saw them in concert a few weeks ago.  It was an incredible experience.  I would highly recommend seeing them live if you have the chance.  This is one of my favorite songs from their newest album.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

It was about 110 degrees when we took these photos this past Saturday, and let me tell you something friends - 110 degrees is hot.  Hotter than hot.  Thankfully, sheer shirts are in, so I was able to get away with practically not wearing anything on top.  Score!

In other exciting news, I had a 3rd piercing put in my ear!  My boss, who is super fierce and fabulous, (and about my mom's age) has one in her left ear.  She rocks it, so I couldn't help but copy!  She's truly become a mentor for me, so I thought this would be a cool way to commemorate her.  

Speaking of, I am so sad my time at my internship will be ending in less than a month.  I love what I'm doing, and even though I'm completely ready to start my senior year of college (woot woot!), I will miss what I'm doing at maurices.  I've grown wiser and more goal-oriented in terms of my career path, and the challenges and responsibility of my job has shaped who I have become.  So, although the end is going to be bittersweet, I have been blessed.

Can I just say how much I adore this dress?  It's absolutely perfect in every way.  I love the bright colors, the print, the fit, the double V...I just feel happy when I wear it.  Plus, I was completely comfortable from my morning coffee until my feet hit the couch in Muncie.  Its been a long day and an even longer week and I can't wait to have the day off tomorrow and relax!

Also, how could anyone have a bad day with a cute little seahorse wrapped around your finger?

I dressed up today for my induction ceremony into Alpha Mu Gamma, a nationally recognized foreign language honors society!  I am officially a lifetime member and I even get to wear special cords at graduation.  I am excited and proud to represent all languages, but especially my minors Spanish and French. 

Tonight, Ball State is hosting our very own Red Bull Chariot Race, and Nick will literally be pulling my girlfriend Renee in a homemade chariot!  This should be a fantastic, super entertaining event, and I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.

This weekend Nick and I headed up to Fort Wayne so I could spend all Saturday at a show choir competition and the rest of the time with my parents before we leave for spring break.  We're going to Durango, CO in less than a week!!

  I love visiting home and I had a great time catching up with everyone.  Unfortunately though, reality hit and I spent all day (and almost all night) Sunday catching up on homework and finishing projects for classes.  I got about 4 hours of sleep, so it was a miracle I even got out of bed this morning!

My favorite pair of jeans and my tall boots are two pieces I can always rely on when I don't have time to put an outfit together.  I paired them with a purple V-neck sweater (not pictured) and I broke out my spring coat because its pretty warm today...and by warm I mean 46 degrees! I can't wait until the temperature hits the 50s and 60s so I don't have to bundle up as much.  I'm longing for heat!
